"There are so many things to consider when working on any job, but I always keep these three work habits in mind."

Work Ethic - I believe in putting my full effort into every task until it’s completed efficiently, staying committed and maintaining a strong work ethic ensures that the job gets done right.

Ability to Solve Problems - Whenever a situation comes up I must try to have the ability to solve that problem without affecting the production or try to solve the situation in the most efficient way.

Work Culture - A strong work environment is just as important as the job itself. I value good relationships with both upper management and coworkers because teamwork fosters growth, accountability, and a supportive space where we can all learn from successes and setbacks.

Web Development Experience

2013 - 2021

Web Developer

During my time in web development, I had the opportunity to work with marketing agencies where my main role involved transforming web design files into fully functional, responsive websites. Beyond building new sites, I was also responsible for updating and enhancing existing websites, creating custom forms to client’s needs, and implementing a range of specialized web functionalities.

Throughout these projects, I worked closely with designers, developers, and marketing teams, which allowed me to gain valuable insights and continuously grow my skill set. I developed a strong understanding of responsive design principles and became proficient in writing clean, efficient code using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.

Additionally, I contributed to the development of web applications that required both front end and back end functionality, including user login systems and database integration. I also applied SEO best practices to help improve search engine rankings and focused on optimizing website performance for faster load times and better user experience.

These experiences have not only strengthened my technical skills but also emphasized the importance of adaptability, clear communication, and effective collaboration in a professional environment.

Projects

Through my experience in web development, I’ve contributed to improving how information is displayed and managed in production environments. I optimized processes by helping design spreadsheets for data collection, and later developed a digital version that allowed employees to enter information directly on tablets eliminating the need for paper forms. Below are some of the projects I’ve worked on.

Digital Upgrade for Hourly Output Tracking

I developed a digital table to display the number of bags produced hourly by each production line. Previously, this information was manually recorded on a whiteboard, and I transitioned it to a real-time digital display for greater accuracy, visibility, and efficiency.

Tracking Fryer Oil Level and Maintenance Issues

During routine pumpdowns on the fryers, we noticed that each fryer displayed different oil levels. We needed a way to identify which fryers were giving inaccurate readings and which ones were showing more frequent mechanical issues. To address this, I first created an Excel spreadsheet to collect and track this information, which I printed and distributed. Eventually, I developed a digital form with the same structure, allowing the team to input data directly on a tablet.

Fryer Downtime Loss Calculator

At the end of each shift, we needed to record how long each fryer was down in the shift report, whether due to mechanical issues or other causes. I was told that every hour of downtime equated to a loss of 500 lbs of product. Based on this, I created a calculator to quickly and accurately determine the total loss, making the reporting process faster and more efficient.

Mechanical Issue Log for Root Cause Analysis

Operators often encounter issues with machines and report them so we can notify maintenance for repairs. However, in many cases, the problems are minor mechanical issues that operators could potentially resolve themselves such as simple sensor adjustments or minor mechanical tweaks. In other cases, the issue may be more complex and require maintenance support. The goal is to help operators better identify and understand equipment issues.

During one of our meetings, I was tasked with creating a spreadsheet to encourage operators to think critically and attempt basic troubleshooting. This process also helps document recurring machine issues, making it easier to track common problems, evaluate whether they can be resolved independently, and identify root causes for long term improvements.

Custom Website Design with Top Google Ranking

I’ve built and updated numerous websites from the ground up, customizing each one to meet the unique needs of the client. One notable example is a landscaping website I developed less than five years ago, which now ranks on the first page of Google for local searches in Harvard, IL. I implemented clean, efficient code, followed best SEO practices, and ensured the site was fully optimized for speed and performance key factors that contributed to its strong search engine ranking.

I've developed many web pages from scratch, including a variety of custom features designed to meet specific project needs. However, due to agreements with the agencies I’ve worked with, I’m unable to share those projects publicly.
